As seen on Channel 4 program Grand Designs Turner Timber worked on the build that helped Steph and Alex build their dream home.
After the project Alex and Steph had this to say about working with Turner Timber
“Turner Timber Frames were fantastic to work with from the conception of our design right through to making and erecting the frame. They were flexible with us, offering advice and solutions every step of the way. It was a seamless process. The delivery and super fast erecting of the frame was fantastic even during one of the hardest winters for 30 years!!! We can’t thank Helen and the team enough and would thoroughly recommend them.
Steph, Alex, Olly and Lydia. ”

Windfalls is a Turner Timber framed home in the heart of the Cotswold.
Designed and built in 2015 by Turner Timber Frames. Windfalls is a beautiful stone clad, timber framed building which sits in the wonderful Cotswold countryside. This large detached home boasts a traditional Cotswold exterior to the front, including an oak and slate porch. (See photograph above). The circular stone high on the gable end (see photograph below) states 2015 which commemorates the year this build was completed. The garage to the left (of the photograph below) is a pre-existing building clad in Bradstone, which is a concrete based artificial Cotswold stone. The owners requested the timber frame build also be clad in this material but conservationists insisted on natural Cotswold stone.
At the rear of Windfalls the exterior is slightly more modern in design. Cleverly the modern design features at the rear of this property (including large french doors) blend in seamlessly and sympathetically with the rest of the building. In our opinion the modern aspects don’t take anything away from the overall traditional look of the area. The owner of Windfalls Mr Thomson says “The oak porch is a nice feature that has been admired”.
Mr & Mrs Thomson have kindly provided us with a testimonial which can be read on our testimonials page.
So you’re thinking about building with a timber frame? Great choice – you’ll gain loads of benefits in terms of the build process, environmental impact, cost, timescales and performance of your finished structure.
With the 2017 City of Culture celebrations off to a fantastic start, we take a look at how our business has benefitted from the new wave of positivity that’s sweeping across the city. We also examine the work we’ve been doing to support Siemens, the growth in popularity of timber frame building, and our upcoming programme of seminars for self-builders, set to launch later in the year.
