Kaolin Court
We worked closely with Award winning Architects Stolon Studios & Meridian Construction Serviced to design and construct a highly bespoke solution to for this unique scheme, the design of facetted roofscapes, cantilevered details and a site built up to its boundary created a hybrid system being installed.

Our engineers needed to come up with a solution to allow masonry and timber frame to work hand in hand, as no external access could be reached after the building was erected in some boundary elements.

Every inch of habitable space was to be maximised to its full potential with these stunning roof scapes creating inspiration room settings for the communal court yard setting.

“The front block is divided in two with a pedestrian route through to the homes at the rear. This cut is also designed to allow morning sun to stretch far into the rear of the site. The design is intended to create a transition between public and private space, leading off the street to a central courtyard – designed as a place to relax, socialise and play – off which each house has its own courtyard.

Overall the design of the landscaping, ‘neighbouryard’ and reflection pools are intended to enhance the well-being and ‘sociability’ of residents.” Robert Barker, Stolon Studio.
